I have created a task mind map, it is part of the planning and research catagory.
This shows my major objectives and all the smaller objectives that must be finished in order to complete my major objectives. It also has guidelines to tell me what I need to do for each smaller objective.
I will refer to this document while doing my project.

reorganizing ict folder
I have reorganized my ICT folder to make it easier to use.
My folder now has 7 folders for the criteria strands (one is for the evaluation) and I also have a copy of all the criteria checklists. This is more convenient for me now as I can check the criteria checklists to see what I need to do.
I will put research and other information I have gathered for my project in the folders and when Im finished, I will upload them all at once to my portfolio.

New basic 3D design
I have made some changes to my previous basic 3D design, these changes have been made to suit my clients requirements.
The changes are
- Addition of arm rests
- A solid backrest
I will continue to have discussions with my client in the future.
Hopefully there will be no more changes to be made to the general design and I can start working on a detailed and final 3D design.

CHANGES
My client has informed me that he is going to use the chair in his office so the chair must generally serve the purpose of an office chair. I must change my plan from my first idea of creating a garden chair to creating an office chair.
Although I am now aiming to create a chair suited for office work, my client says only some minor changes need to be made.
These changes include
- The addition of arm rests
- A completely solid backrest so a cushion can be put at the back
I will have to alter the 3D design to include these changes

basic 3D design
I have finished my first basic 3D design, this design is to just generally show what the chair should look like. The 3D design does not include any technical details about the chair such as different parts and materials and where the nails should go.

Client
I have met up with my client and discussed about the chair, he told me his expectations.
My client will use the chair in his office
The chair must be sturdy and preferably made out of wood
The chair should be approximately 1 meter high and half a meter wide
My project will be to use ICT to create a chair that meets his expectations.
I will talk with my client more in the future to further discuss my project.
I will use his criteria as a guideline while researching and creating the chair

Today I looked at some video tutorials on how to use Google Sketchup 8.0
I looked at these videos

Google SketchUp New Users
Part 1 - Concepts
Part 2 - Drawing Shapes
Part 3 - Modifying Tools
Part 4 - Create a Chair
Google SketchUp Toolbar Series
Selections
Components
Paint Bucket

Arc
There are many more tutorial videos and guides available but I think only the above are necessary for creating a chair
