Project finished

I completed my project.

Comparison

I compare my product to the monobloc chair

Differences between the two designs
•    Monobloc chair uses plastic material, my design uses Oak
•    Monobloc is 1 piece, my chair is assembled of 6 pieces
•    Monobloc has armrests, my chair doesn’t
•    Monobloc chair designed to be portable (lightweight material, stackable).

Similarities: They are both chairs

My design is very original
I evaluated my project

My project objectives were set by my client at the beginning of the project.
•    The chair is a chair
•    It is sturdy, made out of wood
•    Approx 1m high and half 50cm wide.
I did not complete my final product but my final design meets all the criteria’s that my client set. Also the people which gave me feedback said positive about my designs meeting the objectives.
I did not finish my final product because I did not have enough time. To finish the final product I would either have to
1.    Communicate with a potential manufacturer and pitch the design for them to make.
2.    Do additional research to gain knowledge of making a chair.
Both are very time consuming and I decided to not finish my final product.

The final design fulfills all of the objectives set at the beginning of the designed process. The design is minimalistic and is a chair. The chair looks sturdy and comfortable and is a meter high, as stated in the project objective. I would buy this chair.
-    Billy Pugh

This final design of the chair is very accurate in fulfilling the objectives. It is very sturdy, it is 1 meter high. It may not look comfortable but it is very very comfortable and I think it is awesome.
-Xander James

According to the “assembling the chair section” the chair seems to be assured in its sturdiness therefore fulfilling one of its main objectives. Its shape indicates that it is a sitting device more specifically a chair, therefore fulfilling a secondary objective. It is also 1 meter high.
